Peter Stutchbury: Selected Projects

A$30.00

Peter Stutchbury is one of Australia's most awarded and influential architects. His expressive and environmentally-attuned designs point to the true architectural direction of the 21st century, as the built world adapts to the need for sustainability.

This monograph features projects designed by Peter Stutchbury between 1991 and 2003. These earlier works are beautifully crafted and resonate explicitly with their context and landscape.

Many of these selected projects have achieved a legendary status in recent Australian architecture... such as the Israel House, the Archery Pavilion for Sydney's Olympic Games, the Birabahn Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Centre, and the Deepwater Woolshed.

Patrick Bingham-Hall's introductory essay provides a thoughtful assessment of Stutchbury's architecture in the historical and geographical context of eastern Australia, and an affectionate tribute is paid by the American architect, Rick Joy.
